EMISSIONS TESTING
CERTIFICATION TESTING
EMS provides emissions certification testing to meet EPA, 40 CFR 1065, and ISO 8178 specifications.
MULTIPLE EMISSIONS BENCHES
Raw exhaust emissions measurements are performed by three Horiba instrument benches. Our dilute emission cart is equipped with low range analyzers that are compliant with 40 CFR 1065 certification.
CONSTANT VOLUME SAMPLING
Gaseous emissions are measured with out constant volume sampling system. This full dilution system conforms to 40 CFR 1065 recommendations and allows for both continuous and diluted bag samples.
PARTICULATE MATTER (PM)
Our particulate matter emission system was developed in-house to meet 40 CFR 1065 guidelines.
PARTICLE NUMBER (PN)
Our particle number instrumentation includes a TSI 3790A CPC and Delcati DEED sample conditioner to provide measurements compliant to Euro 6 / Stage V standards.

NON-METHANE HYDROCARBONS
For natural gas engines, non-methane hydrocarbon emissions are measured using our specially configured Hewlett-Packard HP 5890A Series II Gas Chromatograph.
NON-REGULATED SPECIES
Non-regulated species, such N2O, methane, NH3, and aldehydes, are measured using our MKS Multigas 2030HS FTIR analyzer.
